Supervise EMSOU’s operational response to digital and technical investigation. Develop technical and digital capabilities within and across teams. Manage resources and prioritise workloads. Understand customer requirements and deliver appropriate solutions.
EMSOU currently have two vacancies for Technical Team Leaders, one post within Digital Forensics (DF) and one post in Technical Development (TD). Both Technical Team Leader roles involve the direct supervision and tasking of a small team of technical specialists delivering digital capabilities in support of regional serious and organised crime investigations. Both roles require a good level of technical knowledge but more importantly a customer focused approach and investigative mind-set to help maximise digital opportunities.
The DF Team leader will be responsible for delivering digital forensics at scene and in the laboratory, whilst operating within a quality management framework and ISO accreditation (17020 and 17025). The ongoing development of DF capabilities to meet the ever changing nature of demand and successfully secure digital evidence is essential.
The TD Team Leader will be responsible for problem solving using software and hardware solutions; reverse engineering; cyber security; and computer, mobile device and network penetration testing across EMSOU. Developing and maintaining digital operational security and identifying investigative opportunities are key objectives of this role.
