Would you like use your research and analytical skills to support in the development of policy for the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner?
Come and be part of a progressive and dedicated team as our Research Officer, on full time, 6 month fixed term contract basis.
You will play a key role in supporting the Commissioner at external meetings and engagement events and liaise with key partners on behalf of the Commissioner, in pursuit of the Police and Crime Plan objectives.
You’ll prepare and source briefings for the Commissioner, making sure they are well prepared for meetings and engagement events, in conjunction with the Commissioner’s Executive Assistant and the wider OPCC. This will be on a range of subjects, including emerging policy relevant to policing and crime locally, regionally and nationally.
You will also assist with the OPCC’s Communications & Engagement Function with particular focus on supporting digital media interactions and support the co-ordination of the production of the Annual report, amongst other reports and plans.
You should be flexible, willing and able to travel and work in alternative locations within Derby and Derbyshire and occasionally elsewhere in the country, you will therefore need to have a full driving licence and your own vehicle.
In supporting the Commissioner, you will be required to work flexibly and the role will include unsociable hours (both evenings and weekends).
