If so, we’d love to invite you to apply for the role of Intelligence Development Officer within Counter Terrorism Policing-East Midlands (CTP-EM), the role is full-time and permanent, and is based within the vicinity of J27, M1.

The essence of this role is providing a responsive, dynamic assessment of new intelligence which has been deemed to be Counter Terrorism (CT) relevant. The Joint Assessment Team will work in conjunction with relevant partners to assess all East Midlands related CT information in order to resolve. A key role is to assess whether the information has met the threshold for further investigation.

The team will work within a sensitive intelligence environment and will be primarily office based, working on secure IT systems. Intelligence will be triaged, on a daily basis, according to risk and threat with research and assessment leading to a joint assessment with partners.

We’re looking for a motivated individual with experience of assessing complex information and associated risk to aid in effective decision making. The ability to research and make links between different sets of data and work to time critical deadlines is also essential. Due to the nature of the role, experience of working within an intelligence environment, Counter Terrorism Policing and a good working knowledge of legislation and practices such as MOPI (Management of Police Information), NIM (National Intelligence Model) and CPIA (Criminal Procedure and Investigations Act).

Please be advised, the role requires DV level Vetting, and a flexible approach to work which may include some evening and weekend working on occasion. A willingness to travel regionally, and nationally for the role is also required.
