Use your leadership skills to make a positive difference in managing the effective performance of the Process Section Staff to ensure optimum service is provided in accordance with the Force Policy.

If you have enthusiasm, ideas and the ability to solve problems, then come and join Leicestershire Police as a Process Team Leader in the Road Safety Unit.

As part of the Criminal Justice (CJ) department, you will supervise your team and carry out performance management to include developmental needs and target settings, in line with the PDR system. You will also need to identify welfare and performance issues within the team and maintain an understanding of the systems and processes.

Within the role you will also need to ensure the collation of statistical information in relation to the Fixed Penalty Section activities for management use. Also, deal with all enquiries regarding matters dealt with by the Fixed Penalty Section from Officers of the Force, outside agencies and members of the public. You will also have to stay updated on local and national issues relating to functions within the Safety Camera Scheme Unit.

The role also requires you to have an up-to-date knowledge of policy and legislation in relation to the Process Section and associated activities regarding the recovery of costs. Within this role, you may be required to undertake other duties commensurate with the post as may be required for the safe and effective performance of the job. The job role should develop along with the changing demands of policing reflected in Force objectives.

To be successful in this role you will have significant experience in clerical/administration environments, dealing with the public and outside agencies, prioritising and managing workloads, excellent communication skills, making decisions of a multi-faceted nature in a pressurised environment, IT skills enabling preparation of reports and statistical data and interpreting legislation and policy.
