The Contact Management team in Derbyshire Constabulary are happy to offer a new position of Administrative Support Assistant on a part-time, permanent basis. The Contact Management centre is responsible for taking 999 and 101 calls, acting as the first point of call for citizens needing advice and support during a potentially crucial time of their lives. The role of Administrative Support Assistant is equally as important, ensuring the smooth running of a busy and challenging environment.

 

What you’ll be doing

  • Undertaking reception duties for the department, communicating both internal and external customers.
  • Preparing and distributing dispatch.
  • Dealing with queries, tracking correspondence and collation of information.

 

The must haves

  • GCSE English Language at grade C/4 or equivalent qualification.
  • Proven customer service skills and experience.
  • Clerical experience, including minute/ note taking or similar.

For part time hours the salary will be calculated on a pro-rata basis, this is based on the number of hours for the vacancy.

Salary range: £22,671 - £27,351 pro rata.

Vetting clearance: MV (a requirement of 5 years continuous residency in the UK is necessary).
