Do you have experience of working on Hate Crime or other diversity related issues, handling sensitive and confidential information?

Leicestershire Police are looking to recruit a permanent, full-time Hate Crime Officer to be based at Force Headquarters.

You will ensure an effective and co-ordinated service to the victims of Hate Crime who are vulnerable through age, gender, race or religion, sexual preference or disability. This role supports investigating officers by co-ordinating the response of the Police and appropriate partners to all cases of Hate Crime.

You must have the ability and be willing to travel within the BCU/Directorate to carry out activities associated with the role.

Please contact Jo Madeley-Harland, joanne.harland@leics.police.uk should you have any questions around this role. This role is both administrative and public facing. You would be expected to feel confident in delivering to a wide range of communities and age groups around Hate Crime and attend strategic meetings and provide data to senior officers and partners.

We welcome applications from individuals from all backgrounds and encourage anyone who has considered a career in policing to apply. We are particularly keen to increase the number of females and candidates from black and minority ethnic communities and candidates from the LGBT community, so that we can truly reflect the communities that we serve in.

Our police staff work side by side with police officers and make a real difference to people’s lives.
