Are you a Registered Nurse and would you like to be part of the Occupational Health Team supporting the health, safety and wellbeing of the staff and officers in their police force.

The East Midlands Collaborative Human Resources Service (EMCHRS) Unit is looking to recruit a Screening Nurse on a part-time (24 hours), permanent basis, in our Leicestershire unit. Days and hours of work are negotiable around organisational requirements.

We are a regional team providing a professional Occupational Health service to the forces across the East Midlands.

You will be part of a team that helps us to have more trained officers, specials and PCSO’s on the streets as well as supporting the police staff in non-public facing roles, providing protection and reassurance to the public.

This is a role that will give you a variety of work including fitness for role medicals, health surveillance and wellbeing activities. Experience in audiometry, spirometry, venepuncture and vaccinations are required and hand arm vibration would be an advantage. We support continuing professional development and provide training opportunities.

You will be a State Registered or Registered General Nurse with excellent communication skills and an ability to maintain good working relationships.

We are a conscientious and friendly in-house team, offering a supportive environment where you can develop new skills and knowledge that are unique to working for a police service. We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills and an ability to maintain good working relationships to add to the team.

Everyone who joins our team plays a positive part in community policing - whether you're out there in a highly visible role or behind the scenes.

Key benefits of the role:
• 25 days leave plus bank holidays rising to 30 days leave after 5 years (pro rata)
• Free car parking and paid travel time and travel expenses when travelling from base location.
• NMC fees paid and study/update days and support with revalidation

If this sounds like the role for you please see the full job description and click to apply.

We are confident that you will enjoy working in our modern, dynamic and rewarding organisation where teamwork and co-operation really does count for everything.

As part of your application, you must provide both a CV and Supporting Statement, stating how you meet the essential/desirable criteria as listed. Please ensure you provide details of your qualifications and recent clinical experience.

For part time hours the salary will be calculated on a pro-rata basis, this is based on the number of hours for the vacancy.

Polite note, we will be reviewing applications as they are submitted. The advert will close once a suitable candidate has been identified.
