An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Derbyshire Constabulary as a Senior Custody Detention Officer. We have multiple vacancies available at our Custody Suites across Derbyshire. Our opportunities are 40 hours per week (suitable for part-time & job-share) & permanent.

This role is brand new to the Force, and an excellent opportunity to showcase your leadership & organisational skills.

Your role will be to support, co-ordinate, motivate and develop a team of Custody Detention Officers (CDO's), ensuring that operational demand is met, as well as their safety, welfare and performance objectives.

We're looking for someone with experience of leading or managing a team, excellent inter-personal skills, as well as the confidence to engage with a wide and diverse range of people ensuring sensitivity, dignity & respect is required.

Our Custody Teams work hard to ensure that every arrested person is safely detained whilst in Police Custody. The role can be challenging, but incredibly rewarding - and you'll play a crucial role in supporting the teams in their day-to-day challenges.

Please note, due to the nature of the role, dependent upon your current skills, experience and training, you may be required to undertake training packages such as OST (Officer Safety Training), PNC & Niche.

Are you ready to show us what you can do?

Please read through the attached job description carefully and click to apply!

Please note, the role of Senior Custody Detention Officer involves working a shift pattern coving 24/7.

If you have any questions about the role, please don't hesitate to contact Claire Philbin via recruitment@derbyshire.police.uk
