Do you want to join an exciting, skilful and dedicated engagement team?

We are looking for a talented, creative and highly organised communications professional. You will have the skills and experience to develop effective engagement plans, including external and internal consultation along with providing event management planning and support.

This is an integral role within the Communication and Engagement team, who are responsible for the force’s external and internal communications.

You will have a broad range of responsibilities, including:
• Co-ordinating communications, consultation and marketing for the engagement programme, both online and with events.
• Working specifically on young people’s engagement.
• Engaging through events and online with Derbyshire communities, partners, staff and voluntary groups deliver an effective programme.
• Planning and delivering a targeted engagement schedule in partnership with the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner to maximise the engagement and consultation process.
• Planning successful and appropriate local engagement events within communities in support of policing campaigns, liaising with teams, departments and divisions across the force.
• Supporting and delivering internal engagement activities including a series of chief officer briefings, seminars and conferences.

You will need to have experience in the delivering communications and engagement activity for a large organisation. Specifically you will need experience in young people’s engagement. You will be an outstanding communicator and be creative in your approach to engagement. You will be innovative and have a good knowledge of social media. You will be able to plan and deliver large events, whilst paying attention to detail including the setting up and operating of technology. You will have the ability to conduct meaningful research, and in turn compile and analyse the data and findings. The successful candidate will have excellent computer literacy with a proven knowledge of various packages including Microsoft Office suite of programs.
