An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Disclosure Officer to lead a team within the Information Management Department, on a full time, permanent basis.
This is an important role, as part of the department’s management team ensuring that key high quality services are delivered in respect of the disclosure of police information to approved agencies, for the protection of the public and other matters of public interest.
As an organisation we hold a lot of information. Managing a team, you will oversee the handling of external requests for the disclosure of police information to help other organisations and employers make safer decisions. These requests range from court orders, DBS applications and child protection requests, to enquiries from regulatory bodies.
In your supervisory role, you will also maintain standards and service delivery across the team, carrying out quality assurance to ensure continued compliance to relevant statutory frameworks and legal standards, as well as identifying any training and team development needs.
In this fast pace and ever-changing environment, you are guaranteed a role that will be exciting and varied as you support multiple units within the department, gaining new and different experiences within role.
Please note that as part of MV/SC vetting requirements, you must have 5 years continuous UK residency.
