The Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) for Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland is looking for an Events & Visits Officer on a 37 hour per week permanent basis.

As the Events and Visits Officer you will be working to deliver events and visits and will be the first point of contact for any communications to do with events.

Your responsibilities will include:
• Arranging and organising visits for the Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) to outside events and venues as well as arranging visitors for the PCC in office
• Working proactively to develop ideas for visits and other events ensuring that the PCC is visibly supporting the priorities of the Police and Crime Plan.
• Assisting with the engagement activity of the OPCC with the community and key stakeholders
• Undertaking research and community engagement work, develop and deliver a programme of bespoke issue-based internal and external engagement activity
• Utilising the social media channels to promote and report on outcomes from engagement activity
• Keeping up to date with campaigns across the city and two counties in order to identify opportunities
• Developing an annual engagement delivery plan ensuring all key dates are captured and opportunities identified

You will be an outstanding communicator and have a creative approach to engagement. Using your innovative ideas and skills you will be able to plan and deliver large events, including the setting up and operating of technology.

This role will require you to work out of hours and at weekend when needed.

You must also hold a full current Driving Licence.
