Can you provide data and insights that can inform Leicestershire Police’s response to preventing violent and complex crime?

We are looking for a Performance Analyst, to join the Violence & Complex Crime Unit (VCCU), working in close partnership with the Leicestershire Violence Reduction Network.

This role will be offered as a three year fixed term contract, in line with Home Office funding.

The VCCU Performance Team is responsible for the production of detailed management information, performance statistics and insight analysis, providing vital evidence-based data that is integral to decision making across the force.

As our Performance Analyst, you will deliver the force’s ‘hot spots’ policing response, relying on effective analysis of serious violent crime data and the evaluation of police activity in crime hot spots.

Using your previous experience you will interpret complex data, selecting the most appropriate analytical and statistical techniques to evaluate data and interpret trends, striving for continuous improvement.

Relationship building and stakeholder management are essential; you will produce information that informs operational and organisations evidence-based decision making, assisting key stakeholders and senior management in their commitment of resources and directing business activity.

You will also be responsible for statutory statistical returns to a number of external bodies.

This opportunity would suit someone that has previous relevant experience in a similar role or a degree or equivalent qualification which has involved research, analysis of data or statistics and has a keen interest in violent and complex crime.

You can find out more about the Leicestershire Violence Reduction Network at: https://www.violencereductionnetwork.co.uk/
