We have an exciting opportunity for a Community Development Officer within the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Leicestershire Officer on a 37 hour, full time, 18 month fixed term basis.

Within the role you will be delivering new and existing community projects and seeking opportunities to develop current practices, maximise engagement and raise the profile of the work of the Police Crime Commissioner and the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner community projects.

As a skilled communicator and influencer, you will be able to build productive relationships across a wide range of sectors, partnerships and stakeholders and lead focus groups.

You will undertake qualitative and quantitative community engagement-based research, to identify areas for improvement and use innovative communication platforms, to improve the engagement activities within the diverse communities of Leicestershire.

To be successful in this role, you will need to be highly organised, manage competing priorities and be prepared to play an active and tangible role in delivery of the Police and Crime Commissioner Plan and the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner community projects.

This is initially a fixed term opportunity for 18 months. Secondments are also possible providing you have sought approval from your employer to apply and they are willing/able to second for the contract duration.
