Do your campaigns really change lives?

We are looking for a Campaigns and Engagement Manager to take a lead role in preventing crime and protecting the diverse communities of Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.

Leicestershire Police is an innovator; we use proactive campaigns and communications to prevent crime and protect communities, with dynamic and engaging content that resonates with hearts and minds. As a modern organisation that serves over a million people with differing views and needs, we need to be one step ahead of communications trends and take a sophisticated approach to reaching our target audiences.

It’s a role that is at the heart of how we connect with our workforce and the public; from the way we recruit, to ensuring we have a meaningful dialogue with all those we serve. To ensure that our force represents these communities, we welcome applications from a diverse range of individuals.

As a senior leader in the organisation, you will direct our experienced and talented external and internal campaigns team, who deliver communications on some of the most challenging social issues there are, as well as building trust with local communities.

A natural innovator you will have a track record of using your knowledge, research and insight to use the right channel at the right time to drive behavioural change and achieve organisational priorities. You’ll be adept at linking strategy and operational delivery, and be able to successfully work with others to get excellent results.

With expertise in change communications, campaigns, marketing and stakeholder engagement, you will deliver impact by designing and delivering internal and external communications strategies that are inspiring and motivational, working in partnership with other teams and organisations.

Securing the safety of our communities is a team effort; you will have responsibility for directing, devising and implementing an annual programme of campaigns and marketing activity. You will also be able to demonstrate your application of best practice when it comes to evaluation.

Campaigns and communications experience from any sector is welcome, alongside the drive and values to make a difference in policing. This role is central to communicating who we are, what we stand for, and our values. It supports the vital role policing plays in our communities - preventing, responding to and detecting crime, protecting our communities, and demonstrating that we understand and deal with the things that matter to local people.
