An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Instructional Designer, to join us on a full time, permanent basis, as part of our regional team.

If you are looking for a creative, digital learning role that offers opportunity to develop innovative and interesting, digital learning solutions then this could be the role for you.

As part of the East Midlands Specialist Learning and Development Hub (EMSLDH), you will work collaboratively with colleagues, stakeholders and subject matter experts to design and develop the learning strategy, associated design solutions and digital resources for the Forces based within the region.

You will address and satisfy agreed design briefs and specifications to the highest standards, from storyboarding to final production and everything in between, considering preferred learning styles that will optimise audience engagement. You’ll be given the autonomy to make decisions and have a key role to play in identifying emerging trends and driving innovation in Digital Design.

Your creativity and visual approach will be essential, as well as your filming and editing skills. You will be designing innovative learning and development solutions across a variety of channels including web-based learning, mobile phone apps, instructional videos, interactive PDF’s, interactive e-learning and engaging/interactive Microsoft 365 PowerPoints/Word.

To be successful in this role, you must have technical knowledge and experience of the following:
• Articulate or Adobe Captivate
• Abode Creative Cloud specifically Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premier Pro, Final Cut, Audition, After effects, Animate and Acrobat DC Software

Applications will be considered from across the East Midlands however, you must be prepared to travel to various sites across the region as required. Employees will be offered a base force location, based on their home address. Travel expenses including mileage will then be paid in line with the Casual Car User allowance, for travel to other sites across the region.
