Come and be part of a progressive and dedicated team. The Learning & Development team are looking to recruit 2 Trauma Impact Prevention Technique Trainers on a 37 hour, full time, 12 month fixed term basis.

One of Derbyshire Constabulary priorities is “our people”. We recognise that it is vital that we support each other, paying special attention to mental health.

In line with our priorities and to support our workforce, you will deliver a training package created by the Police Care UK on trauma impact prevention Techniques. You will be providing interventions and support on a risk-based approach, targeting those areas of police business where there is the greatest impact on mental health.

As a Trauma Impact Prevention Technique Trainer you will be required to be a great communicator who has a positive, inquisitive mindset and can adopt a continuous improvement approach along with being forward thinking, professional and committed to learning.

Working as part of a team trainers, you will co-ordinate and plan the delivery of this training product across the entire organisation, including police officers and staff. You will also develop the existing learning materials, ensuring that the appropriate methods are used, using a range of formats and mediums, including classroom and digital delivery/virtual classroom.

You will explore opportunities for integration of resilience training into existing training programmes providing staff with practical and effective self-management skills.

The Trauma Impact Prevention Technique Trainer role is required on a full-time basis and will be for a period of 12 months. The role will be based at Force Headquarters; however, you will be expected to travel to various Derbyshire Constabulary sites to deliver training as required.
