We're looking for an organised, driven individual to join our team in the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner (OPCC) as a Governance and Compliance Assistant on a 37 hour, full time basis.

This role is integral in providing coordination and administration support to the Commissioner and the Governance and Compliance Team.

A key part of this post will be working as part of a small team, delivering the Police Commissioner’s statutory obligations in line with Data Protection legislation and the Freedom of Information Act. Using your knowledge of the legislation and its statutory requirements, you will support the Strategic Lead in responding to Subject Access and Freedom of Information requests, as well as drafting Data Protection Impact Assessments.

Highly organised with excellent communications skills, you will also take the lead in co-ordinating and providing administration support for the Commissioner’s meetings. This will include coordinating all logistical arrangements, attending and taking minutes at the meetings, drafting and distributing agendas and maintaining accurate records of outcomes and actions.

You will also assist the Commissioner with complaint review reports and casework, therefore an ability to present complex and detailed written work to a high standard, as well as maintaining files and collating accurate information will be essential.

We want to ensure that our force represents the communities we serve, so we welcome applications from a diverse range of individuals, where you will find a friendly, inclusive organisation.
