Weapons Maintainer

The Firearms Support Unit (FSU) are looking for a full-time, permanent civilian firearms Weapons Maintainer to be based at Force Headquarters, Joint Training Centre, Ripley.  

Using your good organisational skills and recent experience and qualifications as a Weapons Maintainer you will support in the maintenance and inspection and repair of all Derbyshire police in service firearms held.  You will also support in the preparation of weapons and ammunition to training events led by National firearms instructors.  

You will need good attention to detail in order to maintain accurate record keeping on all firearms held within the Derbyshire armouries using Chronicle.    

Using your excellent communication skills you will liaise with other forces and agencies, including manufacturers regarding weapon development and repairs.  

Applicants must hold a full UK driving licence.
