Derbyshire Constabulary is proud to announce a position available within the Partnership & Prevention team as a Licensing Coordinator. The position is on a full-time, permanent basis, based at Chesterfield and St Mary’s Wharf Police Station. As Licensing Coordinator, you will be responsible for making sure all licensing duties are up-to-date in industries such as alcohol, scrap metal dealers and gambling venues. This role is vital for keeping the community safe and risk-assessed.

 

What you’ll be doing

  • Representing Derbyshire Constabulary in Licensing Committee Hearing.
  • Presenting objections to licensing applications.
  • Dealing with licensing enquiries from partner organisations and licensees.

 

The must haves

  • GCSE grade C/4 in English Language or equivalent qualification.
  • Ability to deal with complaints in a firm but fair manner.
  • Previous clerical experience.

For part time hours the salary will be calculated on a pro-rata basis, this is based on the number of hours for the vacancy.

Salary range: £22,671 - £27,351

 

Vetting clearance: MV (5 years continuous residency within UK required at time of application)
