We are looking for a customer focused IT Technical Support Analyst on a full time, permanent basis to join the East Midlands Special Operations Unit (EMSOU), based in the vicinity of Junction 27, of the M1.

EMSOU is one of the largest collaborative policing units in the country, delivering specialist capabilities on behalf of the five East Midlands police forces. At EMSOU, we aim to modernise the way we think about data and technology, improving both our service to the public and our ability to tackle serious and organised crime.

In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of critical policing infrastructure, supporting our collaboration and regional teams. A natural innovator, you will continually look for opportunities to enhance, modernise and improve how we deliver technology, offering effective solutions and resolutions to our customers.

With experience in a similar role or a relevant IT degree, you will already have knowledge and experience of implementation, configuration, incident and problem management on the following technologies:
• Microsoft Operating Systems (Server and Desktop)
• Active Directory Domain Services, DNS, Group Policy Management
• Cloud Computing (Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform)
• TCP/IP Networks, including LAN, WAN technologies, VPNs, Wireless technologies, Enterprise Security, routing and switching devices.
• PC Hardware: Installation, maintenance, diagnostics (including Laptop and Mobile technologies)
