The increasing demand for police services in a challenging financial landscape means that the police must constantly transform to deliver effective and efficient services in new and innovative ways.

With a varied and rewarding workload, working for Leicestershire Police offers a career where you  can work with innovative, like-minded people committed to making a difference, and have a real opportunity to improve the lives of people in Leicestershire, Leicester and Rutland.

The Graduate Project Officer roles are aimed at ambitious current graduates from 2023 who are willing to work hard and contribute to the important police work we deliver across the Force area.

Over the 18-month contract, you will gain an understanding of how the police service operates via a number of stimulating and challenging project placements, and work on the Force-wide transformational change programme.

You will also complete a training programme that includes a blend of Lean and Six Sigma, project and change management principles and tools.  Business analysis training may also be offered.

To join us, you will need at least a 2:2 degree/masters in any subject – preference will be given to graduates holding a degree in Policing, Criminology, IT or Mathematics.  In addition, you will need to be prepared to challenge yourself and work hard in order to deliver real results for Leicestershire Police.

Since our transformational change programme contains digital elements, we are particularly keen to hear from current graduates with IT and computer science experience.
