We are looking for a committed, friendly team player to join our Facilities Management Team, supporting facilities and driving services on a full-time, permanent basis based at Force Headquarters.

As a Facilities Officer you will get involved in a wide range of duties. Every day will be different!

A key aspect of your role will be to undertake a variety of driving duties including the transportation of goods, exhibits and property, utilising a multidrop/collection system across the county and on occasion, nationwide. It is therefore essential that you hold a full, clean UK driving licence with category B, and have a good geographical knowledge of the UK road network.

Whilst out on the road, the accurate completion of associated delivery and collections paperwork will be vital, as well as your  ability to carry out manual handling tasks throughout the working day, such as the loading and unloading of items.

You will also assist with a wide range of basic maintenance and technical tasks, carrying out general repairs across the estate to keep our sites looking smart and fit for purpose.

Flexible and self-motivated, your effective communication skills will support you in developing positive working relationships, delivering a quality customer service across the force area.

The role is open for 1 full time position working 7:00am to 3:00pm Monday-Friday and 1 part time position working 7:00am to 3:00pm Thursday and Fridays. Please note that you may be required to work outside normal working hours or during the weekend on occasion. Additional payment will apply for out of hours work.

For part time hours the salary will be calculated on a pro-rata basis, this is based on the number of hours for the vacancy.

We welcome applications from individuals from all backgrounds and encourage anyone who has considered a career in policing to apply. We are particularly keen to increase the number of females and candidates from black and minority ethnic communities and candidates from the LGBT community, so that we can truly reflect the communities that we serve in.

This opportunity is closed to applications.
