Leicestershire Police are currently seeking a Solutions Architect to join our innovative IS Team, on a full-time permanent basis.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with the Force and stakeholders to identify, design, and deliver brand new information services. You will also be using your experience and knowledge to identify and improve existing technology. Really making an impact with the IS Team.  

Our IS Team work with cutting edge technology and we prioritise training and developing our staff including, ITIL4, Azure Architect and more. As well as specific technology training for assigned projects where required. 

We are looking for someone who matches the following:

  • Qualified to degree level in Computer Science or Technology Discipline.
  • Experience of conceptualising and identifying solutions and to take responsibility for all aspects of the design, implementation and technical management of enterprise grade systems and infrastructure.
  • To include experience of planning and managing budgetary control over the lifecycle of a piece of software, infrastructure, or system.
  • Demonstrate experience and a good working knowledge of implementing systems and services that conform to the requirements of internal and external security standards (e.g.) relevant British and ISO standards, Cyber Essentials, NCSC and NIST).
  • A strong understanding of infrastructure technologies and demonstrable experience of utilising and implementing such technology in a secure and practical way.
  • Demonstrate specific skills in one or more key technologies (Oracle, SQL Server, network, Unix, Windows Server, and desktop operating systems).

Please note this vacancy attract a market supplement of £10,000 per annum which is reviewed annually.
