Have you got the skills to ensure the right people have the right information at the right time?

Working for Derbyshire Constabulary, you can be part of an innovative and forward-thinking team; Information Management are looking to recruit two Data Quality Officers.

Working in our Information Management unit, we make sure the right information is available to the right people at the right time! As a team we are involved in protecting and preserving historical documents or making sure that information that is of public interest is readily available. We use a variety of technologies to store information, including placing data in the Cloud to ensure information is always available. We need to make certain this technological progress always complies with information rules and regulations to maintain security and the integrity of data. It's interesting, varied and sometimes pressured work that supports every part of the Constabulary. Working with us you'll find a strong team ethos and plenty of opportunity to develop your skills.

The Optimising Data Section is one of a number of business units within the Information Management Department; with the aim to support the quality of data within the organisation as well as having responsibility for ensuring the Force operates a victim focussed and consistent system for recording crime.

It is essential that we keep accurate crime and incident data and you will be responsible for reporting on the integrity of that information. Working as part of a team, you will provide support to the section, primarily in respect of enhancing and maintaining data quality and achieving compliance with recognised standards such as the Management of Police Information, Data Protection and the National Crime Recording Standards.

The section operates a flexible working regime to meet the changing needs of the organisation. The post holder will be allocated to duties in any of the business units as required. Within the scope of the listed role responsibilities, post holders should expect to gain experience in different roles for the purpose of continuous professional development.

To help you push forwards in your career with us, we invest in developing our team as well as looking after them, with an expansive wellbeing and counselling service along with a range of support networks!

We also offer key work/life benefits such as a competitive pension, generous annual leave, and home working where possible.

We want to ensure that our force represents the communities we serve, so we welcome applications from a diverse range of individuals, where you will find a friendly, inclusive organisation
