Working in our information management unit, we make sure the right information is available to the right people at the right time! As a team we are involved in protecting and preserving historical documents or making sure that information that is of public interest is readily available. We use a variety of technologies to store information, including placing data in the cloud to ensure information is always available. We need to make certain this technological progress always complies with information rules and regulations to maintain security and the integrity of data. It's interesting, varied and sometimes pressured work that supports every part of the constabulary. Working with us you'll find a strong team ethos and plenty of opportunity to develop your skills.

Almost every contact we have with the public involves dealing with some sort of personal data and it's important that we ensure that data is protected. We provide advice, guidance and training to teams across every department of the force to ensure they are up to date on all the latest data protection requirements and you will assist with the circulation and implementation of relevant data protection legislation.

You will provide assistance and guidance across the organisation on matters such as data protection impact assessments, information sharing and disclosure agreements, data processing contracts, security of personal data, complaints and disputes and privacy by design and default.

You will also be required to undertake independent auditing, along with documenting and reporting on information management issues by providing and presenting analysis and offering recommendations.
