Use your specialist capabilities to support the force to investigate serious and organised crime!

We are looking for a Covert Authorities Bureau Administrator to join the team supporting the investigation of serious crime for both Derbyshire Constabulary and East Midlands Special Operations Unit. You will be providing administrative support to the covert operations, ensuring compliance to the codes of practice.

You'll work in collaboration with covert operations, ensuring we meet the required legislation for surveillance and relevant codes of practice. This is an exciting role, where you will be part of the team bringing offenders to justice and protecting our communities.

What you’ll be doing

  • You'll be a point of contact for internal and external personnel seeking advice and guidance on covert operations
  • You will be the gatekeeper for surveillance applications, ensuring quality assurance and feedback on the process
  • Conducting pre-authorisation checks of covert human intelligence sources, to manage the forces covert flags and opensource profiles.

The must haves

  • You must be able to review, analyse and assess information and intelligence from a wide range of sources
  • Have good attention to detail, ability to plan and organise time as well as prioritising your work
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills, being able to produce written reports and correspondence

(For part time hours the salary will be calculated on a pro-rata basis)
