To manage operational and medium-term (tactical) workforce planning activities and projects to support the changing and developing workforce needs of the organisation.

Derbyshire Constabulary has a workforce of 4,000 people, including Police Officers, Police Community Support Officers, Police Staff, and Volunteers. To ensure we can provide policing services to the public we need to be confident we have sufficient numbers of suitably trained staff. The recruitment and training process for most roles is lengthy and complex and considerable forward planning is therefore needed to ensure we have a suitable workforce to deliver our services. You will work closely with colleagues in our service centre who carry out recruitment activities and with the HR Manager for Workforce Planning and Capability.

You will need to be highly numerate, organised and a planner. A background in recruitment would be useful and sound HR knowledge and experience are necessary to advise colleagues and managers on employment law and best-fit practice in the workforce planning and resourcing arena.

Please review the job description to ensure you meet the essential and desirable criteria before applying.
