Come and be a part of a diverse, innovative and forward-thinking team; Counter Terrorism Policing East Midlands (CTP-EM) are looking to recruit a Regional Trainer on a full-time 37 hours per week, permanent basis.

CTP-EM forms part of the East Midlands Special Operations Unit and unites the assets and resources of the East Midlands Counter Terrorism Intelligence Unit with the Special Branches of Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Northamptonshire and Nottinghamshire forces to create a single collaborative regional unit dedicated to tackling the threat of terrorism and extremism. It forms an integral part of the national Counter Terrorist Policing network and plays a key role in keeping people safe through the regional delivery and coordination of the national counter terrorist strategy (CONTEST) across its four strands PURSUE, PREVENT, PROTECT & PREPARE.

As a Regional Trainer you will plan, design and deliver training to unit staff and staff within Forces who work in the Counter Terrorism (CT) field. You will also meet the wider training and development needs of Counter Terrorism staff and Special Branch officers (SB) from across the five East Midlands forces.

You will need relevant and broad experience of delivering multiple training requirements including IT training to a variety of audiences which include staff at all levels and hold a training qualification to a minimum NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) or have significant experience in the delivery of training courses. You will also need a full UK driving licence and occasionally there will be a requirement to travel across the East Midlands and Nationally to deliver training.

Please note the successful applicant will be required to take a driving assessment in order to drive a pool car.

Security Requirements - This post requires regular access to sensitive material and applicants must hold or be prepared to undergo enhanced security clearance before taking up the post. The material may be of particular sensitivity to the UK, and may as a consequence be restricted to UK nationals.
In approved circumstances, dual nationals (of which one element is British) may be granted access. However, in the event that potential conflicts of interest cannot be managed, the post holder will not be permitted access the systems or material required for the role and will not therefore be able to perform their duties.
For the purposes of safeguarding national security, applicants who do not hold or achieve the required levels of security clearance requirements cannot be offered the post.
